Oh man, I am hardly the expert but I do <3 Dublin. It’s such a digestible city and the people there will go out of their way to show you a good time. If it’s your first time you shouldn’t feel silly at all going to touristy places like Dublin Castle, Trinity College and the Guinness Factory (the Guinness really does taste better over there). Greenhouse for dinner and Dawson Lounge right across the street (the smallest pub…like for real). One of the locals said that the “nicest” areas are in the lows and evens (i.e.: district 2 right in the center of town) so of course we went off to explore a pub in “dodgy” Dublin 7 and I’m so glad we did: L. Mulligan Grocer for local brews and a no frills gastropub atmosphere. Oh! And I didn’t get to partake this time around but from what I remember of my last visit, the Shelbourne hotel bar made a decent bloody mary (IMPORTANT!) Have fun!
